Game Recap
- Winthrop had a good chance in the early minutes as Conor Stephens hit a huge diagonal ball as Jayden Mayce settled it and served a ball right in front for Brigham Larsen but his first touch shot went over the bar as he approached the six
- Eagles started to apply a lot of offensive pressure around the 30th minute and in the 38th minute it paid off
- Jonathan Foster slipped a ball behind the PC defense as Larsen ran on, dribbled past the keeper and then placed a shot into the open goal in the 38th minute
- A few minutes later Christopher Cushing was taken down in the box for a penalty and William Cardona calmly stepped up and slotted it home for a 2-0 lead before the break
- Winthrop came out of the half pressing when PC had possession and in the 48th minute the pressure forced a mistake
- The ball was played back to the keeper as he tried to move to his left and clear the ball Grayson Woodard stuffed the attempt and then tapped the ball into the open net
- Eagles made it 4-0 in the 57th minute when Woodard played a ball wide to Paolo Tedesco as he entered the box and delivered a cross to the back post where Sean Green hit a full volley into the back of the net

- Winthrop had a 10-5 advantage in shots and 5-0 in shots on goal
- Sam Jones did not have to make a save in the team's second shutout of the season
- This is the first three-game win streak at home since the team won the last two games of the 2016 season and the first home match of 2017
- Eagles have shutout Big South Conference opponents at home in back-to-back games for the first time since 2013
- Tedesco picked up the first point of his collegiate career with the assist on the fourth goal
- Cardona also netted his first collegiate goal and became the 11th different goal scorer for the team this season
