Game Recap
- The Blue Hose struck early as Reyna Coston scored in the 9th minute
- Coston collected a loose ball, dribbled toward the top of the 18 and fired a shot into the upper left corner
- In the 19th minute, Valentina Mosquera stole a pass out of the back and dribble through traffic for a one-on-one with the keeper and she ripped a shot into the back of the net
- The Eagles had a good chance to a 2-1 lead in the 24th minute when Anna Kate Highsmith had a one-on-one but this time Megan Serrano made the save to keep the game tied
- Highsmith had another opportunity in the 62nd minute as Mosquera slipped a pass behind the defense to set up Highsmith with a free look inside the box but keeper Kelly Hall who came in at halftime
- In the 90th minute Abbie McCrea got a look inside the box but from an angle fired a shot wide right
- On the ensuing goal kick (19 seconds left) Mosquera won a header and then received a pass from Abbie McRea as she ran toward the middle of the field
- Mosquera took a couple of touches and passed off to Highsmith as she was running toward goal as she dribbled wide to get a free look on frame and placed a shot off the left post and into the net with five seconds to play

- Winthrop has now won 4-of-5 matches and remains unbeaten at home at 3-0-2
- Highsmith netted her third game-winning goal of the season and has a team-high five
- All five goals have come over the course of the last five games
- Eagles improve to 11-3-1 all-time against Presbyterian College
- Head coach Spencer Smith is now six wins behind 4th all-time in Big South history
