Game Recap
- Winthrop struck just 27 seconds into the match as Brigham Larsen made the Longwood defense pay for a mistake
- Preston Floyd hit a long ball that was mishandled by the Longwood defense as Larsen collected the ball, dribbled toward goal and placed a shot by the keeper into the left corner
- Suhong Jung made a huge defensively play in the 19th minute as he held his ground at the near post on a corner kick and was in position to head a ball off the line to keep the Eagles on top 1-0
- Longwood was pressing and earned three corners in a three minute span and on the third took advantage in the 24th minute
- Sam Jones came out to catch the corner but couldn't hold on as the ball bounced into a crowd as players from both sides kicking at the ball and it eventually popped out to Ander Etxaniz ripped a shot into the open net to tie the match
- Jones made a diving save in the 29th minute to keep the match tied when Markus Gronli curled a shot over the wall on a free kick about 20 yards out straight from goal
- In the 34th minute Longwood made the Eagles pay for failing to be able to clear the ball off a free kick and Gronli laid a back pass to Mason Butcher as he crossed into the box and he rifled a shot into the top left corner for the lead
- The Lancers caught a break in the 37th minute when a cross from Ben Wilkinson went off the leg of a sliding Preston Floyd as he and Tosin Ayokunle made contact with the ball and past Jones at the near post
- Eagles drew within a goal in the 81st minute when Jung won the ball near midfield and switched fields to Tyler Hornsby
- Hornsby then hit a lead pass to Jonathan Foster running into the box and he finished on his first touch to make it a 3-2 lead for Longwood

- Larsen scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season
- Longwood finished with a 21-11 advantage in shots (10-4 in shots on goal)
