  • Panthers caught a break in the 15th minute when a cross in front of goal was cleared right to Mason Marcey at the top of the box as he settled it quickly and fired a shot into the upper left corner for the lead
  • In the 20th minute Ethan Stevenson looked for the equalizer as he dribbled into the box and back toward the front of goal as he fired a shot low and just wide of the left corner
  • Stevenson had another good chance in the 21st minute as Taeyoon Oh delivered a long ball as Stevenson ran on and collected inside the area as the keeper came out to close the angle
  • Stevenson tried to send a ball over the keeper into an open net but couldn't get over it as it sailed high over the bar
  • Grayson Woodard dribbled past a High Point defender and got into the box as he tried a tough angle shot toward the top corner at the near post from about 12 yards away as Holden Trent stood his ground and was to snag the ball for the save
  • In the 56th minute the Eagles served a ball into the box and after a couple of deflections the ball made its way out to William Cardona outside the box as he settled it and then fired a shot that was well struck by right at Trent in the middle of the frame
  • In the 62nd minute the Eagles caught a break 62nd minute when they went up a man after a Panther was sent off
  • In the 69th minute Bryant Jimenez-Pearce took a free kick that hit the wall as the deflected high in the box as Brigham Larsen eventually tried a header from about eight yards out to the top right corner but Trent was positioned well for the save
  • With just under 10 to play the Eagles earned a corner and Jimenez-Pearce delivered a ball in front of goal as Sean Green ran on but got too far over his header and pushed it straight into the ground and then bounced into the hands of Trent
  • In the 85th minute Green chipped a ball into the box that Larsen collected and then struck a shot but couldn't get a lot behind it as it bounced into Trent's hands
  • Winthrop thought it had equalized with 40 seconds to play as Jimenez-Pearce served a ball into the box as Green got on the other end putting a header on frame that was stopped by a diving Trent
  • Larsen was in front of goal for the rebound as he slotted it home but was whistled for being offside
