- This series began on Jan. 12, 1985 as the Eagles fell 44-41 to Campbell at the Cumberland County Civic Center
- This marks the 43rd meeting as the series is knotted up at 21-21
- Eagles have won four straight meetings and eight of the last nine
- In 42 meetings all-time the Eagles have scored 2,915 points (69.4 ppg) and Campbell has scored 2,856 (68.0 ppg)
- The series is also tied 17-17 when meeting head-to-head in conference regular season matchups

- Adonis Arms has come off the bench in all five contest to be tied for the team-lead in scoring average at 12.8
- Josh Corbin is scoring 8.6 points off the bench while Kelton Talford is scoring 7.8 ppg and Jamal King is averaging 7.6 ppg to pace the bench
- Corbin leads the team in scoring in league play at 16.0 ppg and also has a team-high 11 threes
- Charles Falden (started all five games) is tied with Arms at 12.8 ppg
- Chandler Vaudrin is third on the team in scoring (11.4) and leads the Big South at 9.4 apg (2nd in the nation)
- Coming off 16-point win in which the Eagles held Furman to 38 percent shooting
- Winthrop is has won 20 straight contests when holding opponents under 40 percent shooting

CAMPBELL
- The Camels are led by head coach Kevin McGeehan (110-126) in his 8th season
- After a 4-0 start the Camels have dropped three straight and coming off a home loss to UNC Wilmington
- The 4-0 start was the best since the 2011-12 team opened 5-0
- Is 1-1 on the road this season with a win at Jacksonville and recent loss at North Carolina State
- Cedric Henderson leads the team in scoring at 16.0 ppg as he's knocking down 56 percent of his field goals and also averages a team-best 4.9 rpg
- Henderson averaged 11.5 ppg while shooting 60 percent in two games against the Eagles last year
- Jordan Whitfield, who was Co-Big South Player of the Week on Dec. 14 with Winthrop's Chandler Vaudrin, is second on the team in scoring at 13.4 ppg and is also shooting above 50 percent (.538) on the year
- Whitfield has a team-high 12 triples while Austin McCullough is second with 11
- In two meetings last year, Whitfield averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds against Winthrop
- Jesus Carralero leads the team with 23 assists as Campbell is tied for second in the Big South at 14.7 assists per game
