ROCK HILL, SC - Winthrop split Saturday's doubleheader with Gardner-Webb, thus winning the series with the Runnin' Bulldogs two games to one. Gardner-Webb won 8-1 in the first game, but the Eagles rebounded behind

With the doubleheader split and series win, Winthrop is now 23-16 overall on the season with a 12-6 mark in Big South play while Gardner-Webb drops to 18-18 overall with an 8-10 Big South record.
