WINTHROP AT A GLANCE
Winthrop traveled to Old Dominion last Saturday for its first-ever matchup with the Monarchs and suffered a tough 11-10 loss.
Lauren Morris and
Lauren Asher led the Eagles offensively, scoring four and three goals respectively. Morris now leads the Eagles in both goals and points, scoring 10 goals on the season and totaling 14 points.
SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE
Kennesaw State comes to Rock Hill Saturday with a 0-3 record and fell last Saturday at home to Marquette. The Owls have averaged 11 goals per game and have been led by Siena Gore with 13 goals through three games. Alex Bunn has played every minute in goal this season, allowing nearly 18 goals per game while making 41 percent of her saves.
ALL-TIME AGAINST KENNESAW STATE
Winthrop is 3-0 all-time against Kennesaw State. The Eagles and Owls met in Kennesaw, GA last year with Winthrop coming away with a 19-15 victory. The two sides have not met in Rock Hill since the first year of the Winthrop program in 2013.
