SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Winthrop men's tennis improved to 3-3 on the season with a 6-1 victory on the road at Wofford (1-4) Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
-Winthrop took the doubles point, clinching the point with a victory on court one by Connor Williamson and Diego Quiroz after the Eagles and Terriers split courts two and three.
 
-Winthrop sealed victory decisively with straight-set wins on courts one, three and two by Diego Quiroz, Connor Williamson and Gabriel Dias, respectively, for a 4-0 lead.
 
-The remaining courts would finish in order with four and five finishing in third-set tiebreakers and Alberto Tinagli winning in three full sets.

NOTABLES
-The Eagles have won the doubles point in each of their wins this season.
 
-No. 1 doubles pair Williamson and Quiroz own a 4-1 record so far this season.
 
-Four Eagles, Gabriel Dias, Diego Quiroz, Alberto Tinagli and Connor Williamson, each improved to 3-3 in singles play with today's wins.
