Earlysville, V.A.– It was a brisk morning at the 2019 NCAA Southeast Regional Championships, where the Eagles completed their races in the men's 10K and the women's 6K. Both the men's and women's team competed in a field of 30 plus teams. The NCAA Southeast Championships was hosted by the University of Virginia, on the Panorama Farms.

Winthrop Highlights
- Junior Theo Kahler led the men's team in the field, finishing the race in 55th place with a time of 31:20.7
- Senior Harper Henson led the women's team in the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships, placing in 137th overall. Henson completed the race with a time of 22:37.1
- Sophomore Olivia Essleman, finished the regional championships in 155th place. Completing the race with a time of 22:56.6
