HIGH POINT, N.C. – Winthrop baseball (12-16, 6-2 Big South Conference) dropped game two and the series in a 12-0 defeat at High Point (14-12, 6-2 Big South) Friday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-For the second-straight game in the series, High Point was on the board first, courtesy of a solo homer in the 1
st inning.

nd with a two-run score to go up 3-0.
-The Eagles got their first hit in the 3
rd as
Tyler Halstead sent a double deep to left center to advance

-The 10 runs allowed by starter RHP
Zach Peek is a season-high.
-Winthrop's road struggles continue, as the squad is winless on the road so far this season, with tonight's loss putting the squad's road mark at 0-12, despite the team's 12 wins overall. Â
