EAGLES AT A GLANCE
Winthrop is riding a three-game winning streak and found success in Conway Tuesday night, downing Coastal Carolina 16-14.  Nicole Beatson continued her torrid offensive pace as she recorded her third straight seven-point performance.  Beatson scored six goals and added one assist Tuesday, vaulting her to the conference lead in both goals and points.

SCOUTING ELON
Elon enters Friday's contest with a 0-6 record but has played a difficult non-conference schedule with only one of its opponents not ranked in the top 25 in the country.  The Phoenix have faced four ACC schools along with Stanford and High Point.  The Panthers downed Elon 14-13 in overtime on March 1.

Stephanie Asher leads the Phoenix with 16 goals and 17 total points.  Nicole Sinacori is second on the team with 14 points on eight goals and six assists.  Elon has four goals on the roster who have seen minutes this year but Tori Cipollone has played nearly 83 percent of the minutes, allowing just over 13 goals per game and making 32 percent of her saves.

ALL-TIME AGAINST ELON
The Eagles and Phoenix will be meeting for only the second time.  Elon downed Winthrop 13-5 in the team's only meeting last season.

WHAT'S UP NEXT
Winthrop returns home for its last non-conference home contest next Thursday, March 22 as the Eagles host Wofford at 7 p.m.
