ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop lacrosse team renews a former Big South rivalry Tuesday evening as the Eagles head to Conway, SC to take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

EAGLES AT A GLANCE
Winthrop has won its last two contests including a 19-15 road victory Saturday over Kennesaw State.  Senior Katie Clark scored a career-high seven goals against the Owls.  Fellow senior Nicole Beatson recorded her second straight seven-point performance with five goals and two assists.  Alaina Girani tied a career high with 13 saves.
 
SCOUTING COASTAL CAROLINA
The Chanticleers enter Tuesday's contest with a 1-4 record on the season.  Coastal's lone win came over Campbell at the end of February.  The Chanticleers suffered at 15-3 loss to Towson on Saturday.
 
Haley Alexander leads the team with 10 goals and is tied for the team lead with 12 points.  Haley Kyger also has 12 points on seven goals and five assists.  Harley Barrett has played the majority of minutes in goal this season, allowing just shy of 13 goals per game while making 47 percent of her saves.
 
ALL-TIME AGAINST COASTAL CAROLINA
Winthrop is undefeated against the Chanticleers in six all-time meetings.  The two sides have not met since Coastal left the Big South following the 2016 season.

Winthrop will remain in the Myrtle Beach area for the remainder of the week as the Eagles are slated for a neutral site contest Friday against Elon.
