ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop baseball (3-5) earned a series sweep over Maryland Eastern Shore (0-3) with a 5-4 victory Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles jumped on top in the second with three runs, a lead they would not relinquish. The Hawks would battle back with runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth to draw within one, but senior LHP
Riley Arnone would hold on to earn the save.
