ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop women's basketball team hosts its second-to-last mid-week contest of the season Tuesday evening, welcoming the Liberty Flames to the Winthrop Coliseum for a 7 p.m. tip.

LAST TIME AGAINST LIBERTY
In the third conference game of the season, the Eagles and Flames met in Lynchburg and Winthrop was held to only 37 points in a 63-37 loss.
Courtney Hagaman led the Eagles with 14 points and seven rebounds, the only Eagle to reach double figures. Winthrop shot just 27 percent from the field and 14 percent from three-point range. Liberty dominated the paint, scoring 40 of their 63 points down low.
SCOUTING LIBERTY
Liberty currently sits atop the Big South standings with a 12-2 Big South record and a 17-9 mark overall. Despite falling to Radford last week, the Flames have won eight of their last nine games.
Keyen Green has been the driving force behind the Flames this season, averaging 13.4 points per game and pulling down 6.5 rebounds per contest, leading the team in both categories. KK Barbour has averaged 8.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
The Flames have relied on defense to win games this year as they have scored over 70 points only twice in 14 Big South contests. For the season, Liberty is averaging 62.5 points per game while allowing 54.9. The Flames have dominated their opponents on the boards, pulling down 7.5 more rebounds per game than their competition.
ALL-TIME AGAINST LIBERTY
Tuesday will be the 63
rd all-time meeting between the Eagles and Flames with Liberty leading the all-time series 52-10. Winthrop's last win against the Flames came at home on January 20, 2015 with the Eagles winning 63-58.

The Eagles will travel to Buies Creek, NC for their next contest, a 2 p.m. matchup with the Campbell Camels Saturday afternoon.
