Radford, VA – The Radford Highlanders snapped a five match Eagle win streak with a 3-0 sweep (19-25, 11-25, 19-25) in the Dedmond Center. The Eagles struggled find an offensive rhythm from the get and the Highlanders came out swinging. They jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first set but a kill from
Siani Yamaguchi would put the Eagles on the scoreboard.
Phoebe Wu finished the set with three kills and
Carlie Skelton had four digs.
The Eagles only trailed by one point in the second set (10-9) but unforced errors plagued them until the end. They showed some fight in the third set gaining a three-point lead, their largest of the match so far, at 17-14. Unforced errors would once again come back to haunt them, and Radford would win set and match.
Carlie Skelton finished with a match high 13 digs.
