ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop Volleyball team fell to Radford 3-1 to start off conference play on Tuesday at the Winthrop Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- Winthrop started the set off on a 7-3 run
- Radford worked its way back to tie it 11-11
- Both teams kept it neck to neck until Radford won back-to-back points to take the set 25-23
Set 2
- The Eagles took an early 12-9 lead
- The Highlanders worked back to tie it 18-18 until Winthrop made a 5-0 run to take the lead 23-19
- Radford tried to fight back but were unable to as Winthrop won the set 25-22
Set 3
- Radford kept the lead away from Winthrop the whole match.
- The Highlanders finished the set with a 8-4 run to win 25-19
Set 4
- Both teams fought back-and-forth until Radford started taking the lead at 19-16
- Winthrop fought back to tie it at 21-21
- Radford finished the set on a 4-2 run to win 25-23
