HOW IT HAPPENED
-Set 1
Winthrop and Morehead State went back and forth to start the first set until Winthrop went on a 6-0 run to make it 20-11
Morehead State fought back but were unable to capitalize as Winthrop went on to win the first set 25-17 behind a kill by
Ara Wilson.
-Set 2
After Morehead State starting the set 7-3, Winthrop went on a 4-0 run to tie it up
Winthrop took the lead and was up 23-19, but Morehead State finished on a 6-0 run to win the second set 25-23
-Set 3
Winthrop opened the third set on a 4-0 run
Morehead State continued to add points against Winthrop to make it 23-14
Winthrop went on a 5-0 run but were unable to make the comeback as Morehead State won 25-19
-Set 4
Winthrop started off weak as they fell 4-1 to start the set
After battling back and forth the Eagles moved away from Morehead State to take a 20-12
Morehead State battled back but came up short to fall 25-19 to Winthrop
-Set 5
Morehead State took the fifth set easily as they started on a 8-3 run and finished on a 7-3 run to beat Winthrop in five
