Game Recap
- Campbell opened the game applying a lot of pressure going forward
- The pressure paid off in the early going as J.J. Donnelly scored in the 8th minute
- Ian Rees set up Donnelly with a pass into the box and from an angle to the goalkeeper's left Donnelly tucked the ball into the lower left corner
- The Eagles equalized in the 20th minute when Max Hasenstab netted his seventh goal of the year
- Nil Vinyals found Hasenstab in the box as he took a touch to set up his right foot and curled a shot into the right side of the net
- A little less than six minutes later Donnelly struck again to give Campbell the a 2-1 lead
- Josh Hughes played a ball back to the middle of the field as Humberto Chavez then sent a ball over the top of the Eagle defense as Donnelly ran on and slipped a shot by Kenneth Perkinson in goal
- The second half was full of action, but neither team could break through
- In the 54th minute, Donnelly nearly completed the hat trick as his header rang off the post
- In the 60th minute, Hasenstab had an absolute screamer around the edge of the box that just sailed over the crossbar
- Vinayls tested Matthew Mozynski in the 69th minute when he dribbled down the middle of the field and let one fly from about 25 yards, but Mozynski made the diving save

Winthrop will be on the road for its next contest when it travels to High Point, NC to take on High Point on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. It will be a doubleheader with the women's soccer team, who will take on High Point at 4 p.m.
