- Pretty even half as the Eagles managed five shots and Liberty had four
- Liberty managed the first scoring chance in the 17th minute as Kevin Mendoza had a shot saved by Kenneth Perkinson
- Marc Carreras had the Eagles' first shot in the 18th minute but it was wide
- In the 30th minute Mendoza pinged one off the crossbar
- Max Hasenstab tested James Knoebel in the 33rd minute but he was able to tip it wide for a corner
- Nil Vinayls had a shot in the 38th minute that was saved by Knoebel and Carreras had another shot go wide in the 39th minute
- Good chance for the Eagles in the 51st minute as Jacob Jacobsen slipped by the goalkeeper but his shot toward the open goal was cleared away by a Liberty defender that positioned himself well for a team save and a Winthrop corner
- Just eight minutes after the Eagles had a great chance to grab the lead, Liberty opened the scoring
- The Flames were awarded a penalty as Mendoza stepped in and converted in the 59th minute
- Rasmus Arousell created his own shot in the 78th minute as he cut back creating space from two defenders and curled one that was saved by Knoebel
