HIGH POINT, NC – The Winthrop women's soccer team overcame two, one-goal deficits Saturday afternoon but fell 3-2 in overtime to the High Point Panthers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
High Point (8-7-1, 5-1-1) got on the scoreboard just before halftime, netting a goal in the 40th minute. Becca Rolfe crossed a ball in from the right side and Alex Denny got her head to hit and put it into the net.

The Panthers found the game-winner only 3:29 into the overtime period. Taylor Romano sent a corner kick into the box that Beattie got her head to and placed it into the goal.
