Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer Falls on Wednesday at ETSU 2-0

JOHNSON CITY, TN – The Winthrop women's soccer team suffered its second straight on Wednesday night as the Eagles fell 2-0 to East Tennessee State at Summers Taylor Stadium.  Both ETSU goals were scored by Eleonore Goldoni.

The loss drops Winthrop to 2-4 on the season and 1-7 all-time against ETSU. The Eagles will now prepare to host Marist College at 12:00 noon Sunday on Eagle Field.

ETSU scored in the 32nd minute when Goldoni scored on a double assist from Fiona Dodge and Irina Brutsch. She scored the game clincher in the 86th minute on a penalty shot.
