ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop women's soccer team will be looking for its first victory over Longwood on Saturday when the Eagles meet the Lancers in Farmville, Virginia.

Winthrop is 3-6 (0-1 BSC) this season and is 1-2 on the road. Longwood comes into the game with a 4-7 (1-1 BSC) record and is 3-2 at home.
The Eagles are 0-3-1 all-time against Longwood. The last meeting in 2015 ended in a 0-0 tie with Karly Gustafson making four saves in goal.
Winthrop's last scheduled game at home this past Wednesday against High Point was postponed due to lightning until Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. in Rock Hill. Longwood is coming off a 5-0 win over Gardner-Webb of a score of 5-0.
