KENNESAW, GA – The Winthrop women's soccer team lost to Kennesaw State 1-0 in a non-conference game on Sunday in Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
The Eagles are now 3-5 on the year and will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 24 when they open up Big South Conference play against Radford at home beginning at 1 p.m. on Eagle Field. Kennesaw State is 5-3-1 with the win.
KSU's Maggie Gaughan scored the only goal in the game in the 6th minute with a shot in the box against Eagles goalkeeper Carolina Duncan. Kennesaw made the goal holdup for the win.
