SERIES HISTORY VERSUS CAMPBELL
The Eagles and Camels have met 46 times as the Eagles lead the all-time series 34-12. Winthrop has won seven straight in the series, including taking a series in Buies Creek in 2014. In that series the Camels took game one 8-0 before the Eagles bounced back for wins of 14-10 and 7-2. Three of the last four meetings have been decided by one run.

A GLANCE AT THE EAGLES
Winthrop is coming off a 4-1 loss at Presbyterian College on Wednesday as it drops all three meetings with PC this season. The Eagles are chasing Campbell in the standings in hopes of avoiding the play-in game for the Big South Tournament. The Eagles have just six regular season games remaining but all six are against two teams directly above them in the standings. Taking a series at Campbell would put the Eagles in good position to work their way out of the final two spots in the league standings. Over the last few weeks the pitching for the Eagles has made big improvements, but the offense has sputtered with only a .223 batting average and just 3.2 runs per game. Redshirt junior Leah Young has been on a tear that stretch batting .379 with six runs, 11 hits, two doubles, a home run and six RBI while posting a .424 on-base percentage. Freshman Toni Pancione has also hit well in a part-time role with six hits in eight games (five starts) and an RBI. Junior Paige Haley has eight career games against Campbell and has at least one hit in seven of the eight games. In her career against the Camels she is batting .333 with two runs and three RBI. Senior Zharne Glover is 4-for-11 with four runs and RBI in the last four games against the Camels. Glover has six runs and six RBI in the last 10 games.

A GLANCE AT THE CAMELS
Campbell is coming off three losses midweek to Coastal Carolina as the team's played a doubleheader on Tuesday and a single-game on ESPN3 Wednesday. That came after the Camels ended a four-game losing streak with a 6-0 win at Liberty but have now lost seven of the last eight games. Campbell has been swept this season by Longwood and Coastal while dropping series 2-1 vs. PC and at Liberty. The Camels Big South series victories this year have been on the road at Gardner-Webb and Charleston Southern. Offensively the Camels are 2nd in the league in batting at .287, second in home runs and third in extra base hits. The Camels right directly above Winthrop in the league in team ERA and rank fifth in total strikeouts. Only Coastal Carolina and Liberty have scored more runs than Campbell as it has 217 on the year while CCU leads the league with 286.
