SERIES HISTORY VERSUS PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE
Winthrop and Presbyterian College meet for the 27th time as the Blue Hose hold a 14-12 lead all-time in the series. The Blue Hose swept the Eagles in a doubleheader on Mar. 23 to take the season series and a lead in the all-time series.

LAST TIME THEY MET
Winthrop suffered losses of 2-0 and 3-2 as PC swept the doubleheader on Mar. 23. The freshmen pitching trio of Kiley Majette, Chace Helms and Keleigh Romine turned in solid performances but the offense couldn't seem to find the holes in the defense. The Eagles offense in two games had 15 hits and left 13 runners on base. Twice in the first three innings of the second game Winthrop doubled to lead off, but was unable to drive in the run. Redshirt sophomore Megan Winningham had five hits in the two games.

A GLANCE AT THE EAGLES
Winthrop is coming off a win in the final game of the series with Charleston Southern as it capped off "Senior Day" with a 5-2 victory. The Eagles held the Bucs to just four runs on the day as the first run came off a fielding error and then the next three were solo home runs. Freshman Kiley Majette tossed a total of 11 innings on Apr. 16 against CSU and in that span allowed three runs on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts. That came after the Bucs exploded for eight runs in the first game of the series. The Eagles are currently last in the league standings with Gardner-Webb  and looking to move up as the next three opponents starting with PC are directly above the Eagles and within reach. Redshirt junior Leah Young and freshman Blake Wallert were the top hitters last week for the Eagles. Young batted .375 with three runs and two RBI while Wallert batted .357 with four RBI.

A GLANCE AT THE BLUE HOSE
PC has lost four straight and are looking to complete the sweep of the Eagles. The Blue Hose are led by freshman Megan Anderson and her .363 average along with 45 hits and 36 RBI. Anderson was the Big South Conference Player of the Week on Apr. 11. PC is 8th in the league in batting as a team, just one spot above the Eagles. However, they Blue Hose do have 37 home runs on the year, which ranks third in the Big South. Hope Rogers leads the long ball attack for the Blue Hose with 12. Anderson is 4th in the Big South in batting while teammate Kelsie Sanchez is 5th at .349.
