CLINTON, SC – The Winthrop women's soccer team got its first Big South win Saturday night when it beat Presbyterian College 2-1 in double overtime.
The Eagles are now 4-11-1 (1-6-1 BSC) while Charleston Southern goes to 6-9-1 (2-5-1 BSC). Winthrop finishes the season on Tuesday when they come home to face High Point at 6 p.m. on Eagle Field.
The Eagles got on the board right before halftime in the 44

Keeley Leising ripped one past the Presbyterian goalkeeper Alyssa Leaman for her sixth goal of the season. The Blue Hose got on the board in the 69
th minute when Winthrop goalkeeper
Caroline Duncan left the box to challenge Stephanie Lee but Lee won from 10-yards out.
Winthrop held PC scoreless in the first overtime. In the 105
th minute freshman
Dylan Patterson chipped it over the Blue Hose goalkeeper's head for the win.
Winthrop finished with 23 shots, seven being on goal, and had five saves. The Blue Hose finished with 12 shots, including six being on goal, and had five saves.
