ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop women's soccer team lost on Wednesday against UNC Asheville 1-0. The Eagles are back home tomorrow night at 6 p.m. against Charleston Southern.
Winthrop is now 3-11 (0-6 BSC) as UNC Asheville improves to 8-10 (3-5 BSC).
Winthrop held UNC Asheville scoreless in the first half. UNC Asheville did get on the board in the 58th minute when Courtney Naber scored.
Winthrop finished with 11 shots with seven on goal. Senior Olivia Costello and Freshman Keeley Leising both had three of those shots with two on goal.
