Rock Hill has enjoyed a lot of success between the Winthrop soccer programs, Discoveries Soccer Club and the local high schools.

The success of Discoveries Soccer Club winning a National Championship to Northwestern High School winning numerous State Championships to Winthrop University's national exposure and NCAA College Cup appearances have all helped in making Rock Hill a top tier soccer community. Between Winthrop University and Discoveries Soccer Club the city of Rock Hill has produced over 20 professional players during the past several years."
To find the best and worst cities for professional- and college-soccer fans, WalletHub analyzed 172 of the most populated U.S. cities across two equally weighted key dimensions, including "Teams & Performance" and "Costs & Fan Engagement." They then identified 18 relevant metrics (
