LAST MATCH
The Eagles rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the second half and pulled off a 3-2 victory early into the first overtime period over Asheville when Max Hasenstab netted his second goal of the game. The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead just before halftime and then jumped up by two goals in less than a minute into the second half. But the Eagles got the offense going and used goals in the 67th and 77th minute to tie the match. The Eagles applied a ton of pressure offensively in the final 25-30 minutes of the match and that carried over into overtime as Hasenstab scored his first game-winning goal of the year.

NCAA RANKING
The Eagles are currently ranked 21st nationally in scoring (3rd in the Big South) with 2.0 goals per game. Winthrop also ranks ninth nationally in shots per game and fourth in shots on goal per game. Individually the Eagles have a few players ranked among the national leaders in a few categories. Hasenstab has moved up to 8th nationally in goals per game and 27th in total goals with eight. Hasenstab is second in the nation in shots per game and third in shots on goal per game. Jordan Stoddart is ranked 8th nationally in shots on goal per game. Jordi Lluch is 31st nationally in goals per game and 46th in total goals. Hasenstab ranks 14th nationally in scoring with 1.67 points per game and Lluch is 59th at 1.18.

WHO TO WATCH
Hasenstab has scored a goal in five straight games and has scored multiple goals in back-to-back games. This is the second time in his career he's scored in five straight games as he did so in 2013 as a freshman, but he's never scored in six straight. His two goals against Asheville gave him five career multi-goal games. Senior Jordan Stoddart found the back of the net for the first time this season in the win over the Bulldogs. He's been so close all season and maybe getting this first goal will get him going.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
This game was originally scheduled for Oct. 10, but was postponed due to poor weather conditions. The game will be part of a doubleheader with the women's soccer team that will face Liberty afterward at 6 p.m. Winthrop is currently second in the Big South standings at 4-0 as Radford is first at 5-1 and Coastal Carolina is sitting in third at 4-1, but tied with the Eagles in points. Radford, Winthrop and Coastal Carolina are all two games ahead of the fourth, fifth and sixth place teams. The Eagles are coming off their third overtime game in the last four contests, having won all three. The Eagles are 3-1-1 in their last five overtime games. The Eagles have won five straight games for the second straight season and look for their sixth today, which is the ninth time under head coach Rich Posipanko the Eagles have won five or more straight games. The Eagles are about as healthy as they've been all season, which could come at the right time as they look to continue their current win streak.

ABOUT OPPONENT
The Blue Hose enter the contest with a 0-11-1 overall record and 0-4-1 mark in the Big South. After opening the season with eight straight losses the Blue Hose played to a 0-0 tie at High Point on Oct. 2 to earn a point on the road. The Blue Hose are coming off their second overtime game in conference play as they fell 1-0 at Longwood in double overtime.
