Winthrop Golfers Zach Seabolt And Jennifer Dilger Sweep Big South Golfer Of The Week Awards

ROCK HILL, SC--The Winthrop men's and women's golf teams swept the Big South Conference Golfer of the Week awards for the first time since the honors were first presented during the 2002-03 season as Zach Seabolt and Jennifer Dilger were selected by the league office.

For Seabolt, a sophomore from Raleigh, NC, who is currently ranked 10th in the nation by Golfweek.com, it is his third award of the season, while for Dilger, a senior from Palmdale, CA, it is her second award this fall.

Seabolt finished fourth in the 20-team Wendy's Kiawah Classic earlier this week as she shot a 4-under par 212 on the 7,100-yard Turtle Point Golf Course at Kiawah Island.  His performance helped lead the Eagles to the team championship with an even par 864 score for the 54-hole event.

Dilger finished third, just one shot back of the co-medalists in the rain-shortened Winthrop Invitational which was held at the Rock Hill Country Club.  Dilger shot 79 in the only round that was played to lead Winthrop, which placed fourth in the nine-team event.
