ROCK HILL, SC- Senior Devin Puckett scored in double overtime to lift the Winthrop women's soccer team past Francis Marion 2-1 on Saturday evening. With the win, the Eagles snap a three game losing streak and move to 4-6 overall while Francis Marion falls to 0-10.

Puckett's goal came in the 107th minute after she received a ball from Megan David and her cross found its way into the back of the net past goalkeeper Taylor O'Berry.

The Eagles opened up the scoring as Krystyna Freda ran onto a clearance from Grace Radler and blasted a shot from 19 yards out just 17 minutes into the match.

The Patriots would respond, tying the game just nine minutes later as Elizabeth Asare took a shot from 15 yards out and found its way past Amelia Henderson after a failed clearance by the Winthrop defense.
Henderson made one save before Caroline Duncan came in at half to earn the win, making four saves. O'Berry tallied three saves on the night.
