McClanahan scored a career-best 26 points, including 20 in the second half, as well as picking up eight steals in the loss at Virginia Commonwealth on Wednesday, Nov. 17. The 26 points are the second-best performance by any player in the Big South this season and the most points by a freshman at Winthrop since Jennifer Churchill scored 26 points in 1996. Her eight steals were the most by a Winthrop player since Kia Bell had nine in 2002.
