CHARLOTTE, NC- For the fourth time this season, Kevin Slowey has earned the Big South Pitcher Of The Week award.

Slowey ended the regular season on a positive note, notching his twelfth win of the year. With his nine strikeouts against Coastal Carolina, Slowey now has 317 career K's, shattering the previous school strikeout record of 315 set by Bryan Link in 1995. The win against Coastal tied Kevin with Link for Winthrop's career victories record at 27. Against the Chants, the Pittsburgh, PA native gave up just two runs on five hits.

Slowey and the rest of his Eagle teammates will play the VMI Keydets in the first round of the Big South Tournament at Conway, South Carolina. First pitch on Wednesday is set for 3:00 p.m.
