Joey Anderson joined Winthrop as the Director of Video Production & Creative Content in November of 2024 after several internships and student jobs within the sports media industry.Â
Prior to coming to Rock Hill, Anderson was a freelance camera operator, replay operator, and graphics operator for Gamecock Live Productions. Anderson was also a freelance photographer and videographer for local teams, graduations, and events. Anderson started photography in 2016 for his high school yearbook.
Anderson earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications as a Visual Communications Major with a Sports Media Concentration and a Cognate in Photography. During his time at South Carolina, he was a videographer/photographer for Student Affairs and @UofSCStudents, got involved with Live Productions as a student worker his senior year, and was a photographer for The Daily Gamecock.
