Jason Krell joined the marketing and communications staff in August of 2024 and comes with a bachelor's degree in sport administration from the University of Louisville. At Winthrop, he is pursuing a master of science in sport and fitness administration and is using his final year of eligibility as a student-athlete.
As a graduate assistant, Jason assists with content creation, game day preparation, previews, and recaps, and other duties as assigned. He is also the account manager for the Winthrop NIL Store social media accounts overseen by Campus Ink.
At Louisville, Jason was a four-year member of the cross country and track teams where he achieved numerous Atlantic Coast Conference and university academic achievements. In addition, he served as an undergraduate intern in the strategic communications department and assisted with content creation, game day preparation for all varsity sports, record book maintenance, game day previews and recaps, and other duties as assigned.Â
A native of Charlotte, N.C., Jason has aspirations of continuing his career in college athletics after his time in graduate school.
