He arrives in Rock Hill after three seasons at Tulsa, where he helped the Golden Hurricanes to back-to-back cross country conference titles, a 2022 Midwest Regional Championship, and a ninth-place NCAA Cross Country Championship finish. Before Tulsa, Fiol spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant with the University of Arkansas men’s program, helping guide the Razorbacks to consecutive top-four NCAA Cross Country finishes, two SEC triple crowns, and the 2020–21 John McDonnell Program of the Year award.
