Ed Jones, a 2013 graduate of the University Tennessee, is serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the men's tennis team.
During his four years as a member of the Tennessee tennis squad, he was consistently ranked in the nation's top 10 including a 2010 national championship appearance.
Jones played a key role in UT's 2010 and 2011 SEC Championships. In 2010, Jones was named to the NCAA Championships All-Tournament Team. During his collegiate career, Jones accumulated 93 doubles victories, which ranks seventh in Tennessee history. He also accumulated more than 70 singles wins for the Vols.
Jones and partner Jarryd Chaplin were ranked as high as No. 21 in NCAA doubles (2013). Jones captured two doubles titles during his collegiate career: the Elon Invitational in 2010 (with Tennys Sandgren) and 2012 Baylor HEB Intercollegiate (with Jarryd Chaplin).
