Jeff Krohn

Jeff Krohn, a 2001 graduate of Centenary College in New Jersey joined the Winthrop women’s lacrosse staff as a volunteer assistant coach in February 2013.

Jeff is a Captain in the United States Army and is an Assistant Professor of Military Science for the Winthrop University ROTC program.  He is a Bronze Star and Purple Recipient for his action while deployed.

He started his collegiate lacrosse career at Catonsville Community College in Catonsville, Maryland from 1993-1995 where he was captain for both years and selected as 2nd Team All Junior College Lacrosse honors in 1995.  He also was selected to the North/South Junior College Lacrosse All-Star team playing Midfield for the South at Johns Hopkins University Homewood field in 1995.

Jeff then played for the University of Maryland’s Club Lacrosse Team at College Park, Maryland in 1996 and was selected to the National Club Lacrosse All-Star Team. He then transferred to Limestone College to play Division II lacrosse and was awarded an athletic scholarship in 1998.  Jeff then transferred to Centenary College and played his final two years from 1999-2001.  At Centenary, he was Captain of the lacrosse team for both years and received the Senior Award for the Most Outstanding Player in 2001.

Jeff received his BA in Criminal Justice/Sociology from Centenary College in 2001 and also received his MBA from Webster University, Saint Louis, Missouri in 2012.  Jeff has been serving in the United States Army since 2002 as a Military Police Officer.

Jeff is married to his wife Lisa of ten years and they have a son and a daughter.  Jeff resides in Columbia, SC.
