Brad Childers

Brad Childers is in his third year as an administrative assistant for the women’s basketball program.

He came to Winthrop after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in mathmatics from Lenoir-Rhyne College in 2007 where he was a four-year letterman and three-year team captain in men’s golf. Childers was a four-year South Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Childers coordinates all aspects of the film exchange program in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Big South Conference. His duties also include assisting in the film editing for player development and scouting opponents, helping with travel arrangements & planning for all away contests and similar needs for home contests, assisting with the management and maintenance of team equipment inventory, coordinating and assisting in the supervision of student managers and their duties, all aspects of the promotion, development, operations of the summer camp program as assigned by the Head Coach.

He has been a camp instructor for Winthrop women’s basketball since 2004 and will be pursuing a Master’s of Art and Teaching of Mathmatics, while at Winthrop.

He is the son of head coach Bud Childers and the brother of Brett Childers, former Winthrop assistant and current head girls’ basketball coach at South Pointe H.S. (Rock Hill, SC).
