• Played in six games before season-ending injury

• Named to First Team All-Big South as a designated player
• Had an eight-game hitting streak, which tied for second best on the team
• Drove in a career-high four RBI against UNC Wilmington on March 15, 2008
• Got a hit in fi rst collegiate game against Oregon State on February 8, 2008 and hit her fi rst home run on February, 9 2008 against Colorado State

About Smith...

• Played ice hockey, basketball, ran track & field and badminton in high school
• Coached a novice girls hockey team
• Softball team won the Ontario Provincial Championship as she led the team in hits, RBIs and extra base hits
• Her team was the Silver Medalist from the Canadian National Championship during which Smith batted .475 with three home runs and 12 RBI
