Zack Freesman

Zack Freesman was named the Director of Basketball Operations in the summer of 2019 after serving as the Eagles Video Coordinator the previous season. In that role, Freesman was responsible for all video operations, including creating edits, cutting games and film exchange. He also worked closely with the coaching staff on studying and maintaining several analytical projects throughout the season.

Prior to his arrival in Rock Hill, Freesman spent two seasons at Virginia Commonwealth University as a graduate assistant. While in Richmond, Freesman earned a master’s in sport leadership. Some of his responsibilities for the Rams included on-court development, scouting upcoming opponents, and studying analytical patterns and statistics. During his tenure, the Rams compiled 44 victories and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2017.

The North Florida graduate spent four years in Jacksonville, from 2012 to 2016. Freesman was a manager for the Ospreys all four seasons, and was named head manager for the final two. Freesman studied sport management and minored in both business and community leadership. The Osprey grad oversaw team equipment and assisted with travel, community service, and player development. The Ospreys won back to back Atlantic Sun Championships and reached the program’s first ever NCAA Tournament in 2015.

Freesman is a Weston, FL native and graduated from Cypress Bay High School in 2012.
