Stephen (Bret) Anthis Jr. was added to the men's basketball staff as a graduate manager in July of 2019. Previously, Bret served as an assistant athletic trainer/manager for the NC State men's basketball program. He was involved with the Wolfpack for three seasons (2015-2018) working under two different head coaches. His first two years at NC State were spent as the assistant athletic trainer aiding first hand in treatment, rehabilitation, taping, and injury prevention. In Bret's final year, he spent his time with the basketball program as a full time student manager assisting with day to day operations, player development, and recruiting. Bret received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with a Human Concentration from NC State.
Bret was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but spent his early years raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Bret then moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2008 with his family (father Steve, mother Angela, and younger siblings Carson and Addie).
