Winthrop University Athletics

Sophia Rahim M.ED, LAT, ATC joined the Winthrop Athletic Medicine staff in February 2023. She currently serves as the athletic trainer for the baseball and women's cross-country teams.
 
Prior to arriving at Winthrop, the Massachusetts native worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Campbell University. While with the Fighting Camels, she worked with the football, men's and women's tennis, and baseball teams. 
 
Rahim completed her master's degree in education with a concentration in exercise science in 2023 from Campbell University. She earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2020 from Sacred Heart University. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and holds a certification in dry needling.
