High School: Played for head coach Randy Thompson at Wren High School. Was a three-sport participant lettering for varsity letters in baseball, three for football and one for basketball. Played on two Region Championship teams at Wren in baseball (2010) and football (2009). Earned All-State, All-Area and All-Region honors in baseball, and was also recognized as a 2010 Wendy’s High School Heisman. In his final two season, received numerous accolades including the Defense Award, Golden Bat Award, Most Valuable Teammate Award, St. Francis Sports Medicine Athletic/Scholar Challenge Winner and Mingo Bay Baseball Classic MVP. Was a participant at the Perfect Game National Showcase and was listed as one of the top 500 players in the country and 17th best player in the state of South Carolina by Perfect Game USA. Was also ranked as the third-best third baseman in the state and 29th overall by Diamond Prospects.

Personal: Born on Sept. 11, 1992. Is the son of Mark and Dephanie Caldwell. Majoring in History.
