Miller joins the Garnet and Gold after serving in the same position at Big South rival Longwood last year. Miller played for the Lancers for one season as a graduate transfer in the spring of 2023. That season he threw the team's first complete game since 2019 in his final collegiate start, and he also earned the win over No. 14 Campbell, the highest ranked win in team history, on April 15.

Prior to Longwood, he pitched for Pittsburgh in 2022 after spending three seasons at North Carolina Central. While at NCCU, he was the MEAC Freshman of the Year in 2019 and the MEAC Pitcher of the Year in 2021. In addition, he was a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American in 2019 and a Collegiate Baseball Second Team All-American in 2021. The National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association had him as a Third Team All-American that same season.
Miller grew up in Blandon, Pennsylvania, and he holds his bachelor's of science in recreation administration from NCCU. He graduated as an honor's student there. At Longwood, he earned his master's degree in business administration in July of 2023.
