Robert Monday joined the Eagles baseball staff in 2017 after coaching at University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Barton College. Monday had a successful playing career at University of North Carolina Wilmington after transferring from Surry Community College his freshman year.
Monday coached the 2017 season as an assistant baseball coach / camp coordinator at UNC Wilmington; he was mainly responsible for hitters. At Winthrop, Monday works primarily with catchers and hitters.
Prior to Wilmington, Monday spent a year at Barton College as the assistant baseball coach / assistant outdoor complex coordinator. He worked with the players to enhance their hitting ability and mental toughness while in the box.
Monday graduated in May 2010 from UNCW with a degree in communication studies. He played one season for the Surry Community College and three seasons with UNCW. He was the Seahawks Team MVP in 2010, ABCA All-State in 2010, and CAA All-Conference in 2009-10 season.
