Austin Hill returns to Rock Hill for his second season with the Winthrop Baseball program and first as full-time pitching coach.
Hill completed his first season at Winthrop in 2018 as a volunteer assistant coach, and replaces Clint Chrysler, who is now the pitching coach at North Carolina State after seven seasons with Winthrop.
Hill’s pitching staff will welcome back a host of returners, including junior right-hander Nate Pawelczyk, who earned All-Big South Second Team honors in 2018, as well as sophomore pitcher Zach Peek, who was named Honorable Mention All-Conference. In addition to the returners, Hill well help lead five new pitchers as part of the 2018 recruiting class.
