Austin Hill returns to Rock Hill for his third season with the Winthrop Baseball program and second as full-time pitching coach.
Hill’s pitching staff will welcome back a host of returners, including senior right-hander Colten Rendon, who earned All-Big South First Team honors in 2019. In addition to the returners, Hill well help lead seven new pitchers as part of the 2019 recruiting class.
Hill completed his first season at Winthrop in 2018 as a volunteer assistant coach, and replaces Clint Chrysler, who is now the pitching coach at North Carolina State after seven seasons with Winthrop.
Prior to joining the Winthrop staff, Hill spent the 2017 season as assistant baseball coach at USC Lancaster. Before joining the Lancers, Hill played collegiately at UNC Pembroke.
