Athetic Communications/Video Production/Creative 2025 Fall and 2026 Spring
Opportunities
Winthrop Athletics offers a variety of student internship opportunities across the departments at the core of the administration. Students will have the opportunity for professional growth that are essential for their professional careers. Communications
This position will assist the communications office with day-to-day duties including press releases, feature stories, coverage of athletic events (statistics, game management), archiving, managing social media, game notes, record books, updating website, photo archiving/editing and more. Assist the communications office on game days (official statistics, in-game social media, etc.) Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign preferred but not required. Video Production:
Assist with live event broadcasts on the ESPN+ platform. This includes equipment set up and breakdown and live productions. This position will assist in filming, editing, and producing content for social engagement. Assist in capturing and logging video footage from game streams or raw video to organize for producing digital content. Knowledge of sports/live production is preferred but not required. Creative Content:
This position will assist the External Team in social and digital media efforts. Will have the opportunity to generate content for social media platforms including team accounts. Also assist with live event coverage, photography/videography on game days and marketing and promotional campaigns. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, graphic design, social platforms (X, Facebook, IG), photography, videography and photo/video editing is preferred but not required.(Application Form)

Requirements/Compensation:
In order to fulfill internship requirements, the candidate must work a minimum of 10 hours per week (unpaid) and be enrolled in approved internship credit. Additionally, this candidate must be comfortable with working in the office, at athletic events (indoor and outdoor), or remotely depending on tasks. All positions will coincide with Winthrop's academic calendar and are available in a one (1) or two (2) semester term.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled and in good academic standing at Winthrop University. Undergraduate students and graduate students are welcome to apply. Candidates must have strong communication and organizational skills as well as time management skills.
