Game Recap
- Cougars grabbed the lead just before the half
- Henrik Boer sent a long ball behind the Eagle defense and Matt Lenert beat everyone to the ball and placed a shot over the head of Euan Brindley and into the net
- Winthrop had a couple of shots on frame in the first 45 minutes but were right at the keeper
- Cougars doubled their lead in the 54th minute as Paul Killeen dribbled into the box and played a pass in front of goal
- Bemanzi Alibaruho collected the pass with his back to goal, spun and fired a low shot into the corner
- The lead was extended to 3-0 after Lenert found his second goal of the match in the 72nd minute
- Eagles finally broke through in the 72nd minute, less than a minute following the Cougars third goal
- Juma Baden stepped up and converted a penalty to get Winthrop on the board

- It was a physical game as the teams combined for 35 fouls in the match
- Baden scored his fourth goal of the season and has a goal in four straight matches
- Cougars had an 11-10 edge in total shots and 6-5 in shots on goal
